Bella Kuhl

Bella has long been inspired by the Boston Marathon. After living in Boston for eight years, she never missed cheering on runners passing through Fenway, drawn to the energy and determination on display. She is now taking on the challenge herself, running the Boston Marathon to support the John M. Barry Boys & Girls Club of Newton. Growing up in Maine, Bella spent her after-school hours at a Boys & Girls Club, where she received mentorship, homework help, and a safe place to grow. Through this run, she hopes to give back and ensure that other young people have the same support and opportunities that shaped her.

Micaela McCloskey

Micaela McCloskey is running the Boston Marathon to support the John M. Barry Boys & Girls Club of Newton, where she served as a PULSE intern during her sophomore year at Boston College. During her time at the Club, she worked primarily in the Education Center, building consistent relationships with the same group of children and providing mentorship, homework support, and guidance. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for the Club’s role as a safe and supportive space for young people, and it reinforced her commitment to community service. Running the Marathon allows Micaela to combine her lifelong love of running with her gratitude for the Club, honoring the lessons in compassion, resilience, and community she gained through her PULSE service.
