Welcome to John M. Barry Boys & Girls Club of Newton’s 2022 Virtual Art Gallery! I’m excited to share our members’ artwork from the past year. As members have dealt with transitioning in and out of remote and in person schooling, it’s been a privilege to watch them learn about famous artists, new materials, art movements, and techniques.
Pieces included in the Gallery are from the Club’s Out of School Time Program, 2020-2021 After School Programs, and Summer Camp 2021. These are selected pieces to display members’ skills, creativity, and effort throughout this year. There is a range of paintings, drawings, ceramic pieces, and mixed media works prompted by guided art projects and members’ independent ideas.
Thank you to all of the members who have participated in the arts programs and activities! I hope the artists, other members, Club families, and other viewers enjoy the Club’s first Virtual Art Gallery!
